KDDD News 10-8-21 Dumas vs. Roswell

Following their second week off of the season, the Dumas Demons return to action again tonight playing the first time a team from, Roswell, New Mexico. Coach Aaron Dunnam’s position coach in college, and East Mexico State is the head coach of the Roswell Coyotes. They have stayed in touch, and when Dumas was looking for games, Roswell stepped up.

The National Park Service has added a second webcam at Lake Meredith National Recreation Area. This new camera is looking from the Sanford Dam pointing west overlooking the lake. According to a press release, the NPS says the funding for this webcam was provided by the Lake Meredith and Alibates Friends Group. The functionality of the camera was provided by Wright-On Bait and Tackle Shop.


The Amarillo Public Health Department is reporting 84 new cases of COVID-19 and 289 recoveries in the Amarillo area. APH said Potter County has 41 new cases and 118 recoveries.

In Randall County, 43 new cases were reported along with two deaths and 171 recoveries.


Two people have been arrested and are facing charges related to the theft of an Amarillo man’s kangaroo. Yes a pet kangaroo. Christopher Potts and Megan Sandefer were booked into the Randall County Jail on charges of theft of property worth more than $2,500.

The kangaroo’s owner says it was taken on September 25. The kangaroo is still missing at this time
