In anticipation of potential winter weather, TxDOT is making sure the roads are ready. TxDOT Amarillo said crews are preparing.

Brine tankers were out on I-40 West, I-40 East, and U-S 87 North. Regular brine spreaders have also been in use.
All this, as the National Weather Service, predicts more snow possibly today. TxDOT reminds drivers to keep their distance with snow on the ground.

Moore County is expecting the shipment of SECOND DOSE VACCINES this week for those who received their first dose at the clinics on February 10th, 11th, and 13th.

SECOND DOSE CLINICS will be at the Moore County Community Building this Wednesday the 3rd from 8am to 7pm, Thursday the 4th from 8am to 7pm, and Saturday the 6th from 8am to 12:00pm. BRING YOUR VACCINE CARD WITH YOU.

These will be SECOND DOSE vaccines only.


Saturday afternoon, the Hutchinson County Sheriff’s Office posted to Facebook, looking for an individual for questioning. The situation has since been handled. The sheriff’s office said it was regarding someone allegedly placing a “hit” (murder for hire by contract) on Sheriff Kemp. The suspect was Austin Beagle.

Sheriff Kemp said they take all threats to the public and law enforcement seriously and will continue to ensure that safety is a top priority.
