The Dumas/Moore County Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with Pheasant Trails Golf Club, will hold a chamber golf tournament on Saturday, June 19th, starting at 1:00 pm.

There will also be an official ribbon cutting for the newly renovated golf course clubhouse, plus food after the tournament, as well as entertainment and prizes given away.  Tournament fee to be announced soon


Congratulations to Cactus Science teacher Lori Garrett – a 2020 Texas finalist for K-6th Grade Science for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching!


For the first time, Amarillo’s Economic Development Corporation held its annual State of the Economy event virtually. Officials and experts, expect 2021 to be a year of recovery with the help of trillions of dollars in relief funds, as well as increased consumer demand.

Amarillo has already recovered two-thirds of jobs lost. The unemployment rate in Amarillo is 5.5 percent today, compared to 6.3 percent of the national average.

One of the primary drivers in the Texas High Plains’ economy is agriculture.
