The investigation into a double shooting in Dumas last weekend continues. Investigators have been searching for a person identified as a suspect. That individual has not yet been found.

United Supermarkets donated 4,200 pounds of apples to the High Plains Food Bank yesterday.

United Supermarkets are original partners of the Take a Bite Out of Hunger™ program, sponsored by FirstFruits Marketing of Washington. FirstFruits created the program to help feed the under served while bringing attention to the problem of food insecurity in the United States.

Over the next week, United Family stores in Texas and New Mexico are set to donate more than 39,000 lbs. of apples.

Amarillo saw one of its biggest day-over-day COVID-19 case gains in months on Tuesday’s data from city officials.
The latest report card showed another 77 cases of the disease – one of the biggest reported since Amarillo began trending downward in late 2020.

Another 11 recoveries and one more death brought the city’s net active case increase to 65.
