In their first meeting since breaking ground on a new elementary school on North Maddox, the Dumas ISD Board of Trusties meets today at 5:30. On their agenda is the discussion of more property. either purchased or leased, and deliberation on economic development negotiations.


A busy agenda highlights the Moore County Commissioners meeting today. Commissioners will discuss the purchase of a new computer server for the Moore County Jail, and offices at a cost of $18,427. The current server is close to crashing.

A $131,050 purchase is being considered to buy 13 new in car computers, and the hardware and necessary software. The money to pay for it is coming from the American Rescue Plan Act.

Another very successful Dogie Days celebration in Dumas has come to an end. It was one of the best attended celebrations on record.

Today the Big Country Medallion Hunt begins, with two clues a day. One clue before 9 am, and a bonus clue between 9 and 5. Remember the medallion is hidden in the Dumas City limits, and only on public property.
