With the population growth in Dumas, and more new jobs on the horizon. A shortage of affordable housing in Moore County, remains a major issue. But a housing project, talked about for over a year, may finally be moving forward. The Dumas City Commission approved a plat, now vacant, West 16th, to be used for the building of a new 64 unit apartment complex, to be called Westwind of Dumas.

The Moore County News Press reports, the developer is Salem Clark Development out of Greenville, TX.

The Dumas Savages, have won the 2021 National Championship at the USSSA National Tournament in Kansas. The Savages finished the tournament undefeated (9-0) after defeating the North Platte Jr Belles 6-1 and earning the championship.  Congratulations!

There is a blood drive in Dumas tomorrow from noon until 6:30 at the community center. All donors recieve a Boots and Badges t-shirt, and a pass to Wonderland Amusement Park.
