After having many empty beds last year, Family Support Services Safe House in Dumas, is now at capacity, as more survivors are now ready to seek help.

Safe Place in Dumas says its numbers have doubled recently, while calls to their hotline have tripled.
Family support services believes the spike could ease by the end of summer.

The FBI has arrested five members of a Borger family on charges alleging that they entered the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6, according to federal court documents.

On July 12, a Borger family was arrested after evidence indicated that Kristi Munn, Thomas Munn, Dawn Munn, Joshua Munn and Kayli Munn were unlawfully inside the U.S. Capitol on January 6.

According to documents, a tipster provided two screenshots of Kristi Munn’s Facebook account and six screenshots of Kristi Munn’s Snapchat account, with photos indicating that they were there at the rally.


6 people are injured after a vehicle rollover accident on Highway 287 and County Rd., 2 miles east of Amarillo, at around 6 a.m. yesterday morning, July 14, according to the Department of Public Safety.

DPS says one person was taken by Lifestar with life-threatening injuries while five others in the vehicle were taken by ambulance, two with serious injuries and three with minor injuries. Right now DPS is in the preliminary stages of the investigation.
