Want to take a trip down memory lane? Cactus is having a special event to help inaugurate the newly constructed roundabout on Sunday, July 25th from 6-11pm with the Cruise-A-Palooza on Main Street!

Food trucks will be on hand and photos will be available from 6-8 in front of the new roundabout.  Cactus Fire and Police departments will also be on hand to help ensure everyone’s safety.

Gov. Greg Abbott says he will not impose another statewide mask mandate, despite COVID-19 cases being on the rise again.

As the delta variant has spread, some key pandemic indicators have increased in Texas. On Sunday, the state’s positivity rate — the ratio of cases to tests — went above 10% for the first time since February, a threshold that Abbott has previously identified as dangerous.

As of Sunday, 43% of Texans were fully vaccinated.

The Amarillo Venom are gearing up for a Championship after winning their semifinal matchup this last weekend.
The Venom will be in the inaugural Lone Star Series Championship game this Saturday, at 7:00 P.M. at the Ector County Coliseum in Odessa, when facing off against the West Texas Warbirds.
