New radio station 103.5 The Buzzard takes flight

Sunday afternoon, March 14, 2021, the newest radio station in Dumas, TX took flight. Known now as “Classic Rock for the High Plains”, the new 103.5 The Buzzard brings you the best rock n roll from the 70’s to the 90’s.

“We wanted to create another great radio station, and iconic brand to go along with, our sister station Big Country 95.3/96.5, said owner Chris Lash. “We wanted to create a radio station as good, and tough as the Dumas Demons are, on Friday nights.” added Lash.

The 103.5 frequency is what is called an FM translator. It was purchased in 2020 and was in Borger. Then it was moved to Dumas.

103.5 The Buzzard features artists like Van Halen, Pink Floyd, AC DC, Led Zeppelin, Ted Nugent, Journey, Pat Benetar, Foreignor, STYX and many more. Look for The Buzzard mascot on merchandise, and presenting original events in Dumas. “We’re working on an original event for this fall.” said Lash
